It’s all in a day’s work for two Kansas City police officers who saved a one-month-old infant after she stopped breathing while battling RSV.

Officers Richard DuChaine and Charles Owen are credited with saving the life of little Kamiyah last Thursday.

The two officers arrived on scene first before EMS and performed infant chest compressions and back thrusts on Kamiyah. She then started to breathe on her own as DuChaine turned her on her side while Owen checked for obstructions.

Kamiyah’s mom, Tajanea Allen, told KCTV the two officers are heroes.

“He saved my daughter’s life,” Allen said. “I would do anything for that man. He saved my daughter and I’m very grateful for that.”

The two officers even got to visit Kamiyah in the hospital. She is now in stable condition and is improving.
